I understand that upon entering the dream, we have to put the X tile in the normal location (B2) and orientation (B2 in the top left corner, as for all tiles until then). But when using exploration, it can be placed anywhere and rotated (that seems quite clear from the dream gate card).
When reading S.834 from the first Z tile, it is stated that the X card has to be placed as per the front dreamgate's exploration rules. Does that mean that it can be placed anywhere? Can it be rotated?
In order to not have it too easy, I figured that on that case it had to be placed in the normal position (as per start of dream). Is that right? If not it could have been placed directly next to the second Z tile or in the B2 spot with an orientation allowing to access the Z tile easily using the 2 other (Y) tiles.
Anyway, I struggled a bt at the moment, I'd love to ensure I did it right.
> As you had to place the X tile according to the rules of Exploration, it means that you had to place it properly to the already lying Z tile
No! This is not true, because Z is not an "Exploration" tile! This was very confusing for us, as there is no way to legally follow the rule.
> No... In this Dream you have to place the tiles exactly and fully on the slots.
In Dreams, where the tiles are "shifted", the tiles have also "shifted" code.
And you're right - it is not very clear, we'll add it to the FAQ! Thanks!
Can we place a tile so it covers 2 tiles half on the board ? Cause i can place a tile with the first on top een exit and the second is the bottom of the card with an entrance.
Thyre stil (half) adjacent from eachother and i have a passage .
I had dreams where the board places tiles like this , hence i thought we can also .

> Yes. "Place Exploration tile X as you want according to the Exploration rules on the front of the Dream Gate tile."
means:
"Place that Exploration tile in a way it is adjacent to any other Exploration tile, and there is at least 1 open passage between them. You may rotate the tile in any way before placing it."

And this means that from this point you have to (by placing Y tiles and further Exploration) get to the new target (another Z tile) - lying on A4.
Does it look better (harder) now? :)
Thanks for your question!
